About Finesse Our Minds

 Finesse Our Minds was officially launched in May 2019, but its roots run much deeper. Our founder, L. Finesse Humxn, started FOM out of a personal journey—a journey that included surviving suicide attempts and battling mental health challenges. After experiencing firsthand the gaps in mental health support for youth, Finesse was determined to create a space where young people could find the kind of understanding and help they truly need. With a background in behavior therapy and as a certified peer specialist, Finesse brought together a team of like-minded young people to turn this vision into reality.

Since then, FOM has grown into a thriving community that offers a range of mental health resources and support, all centered around the unique needs of youth and young adults.

At Finesse Our Minds, our mission is to provide life-saving mental health support to youth and young adults. We’re committed to creating a community where everyone feels seen, heard, and supported. Our goal is to destigmatize conversations around mental health, offer peer-led support, and make resources accessible to everyone, no matter where they are in the world. 

We envision a world where talking about mental health is as normal as talking about your favorite show. A world where no young person feels alone in their struggles. A world where every youth has the tools and support they need to thrive.
