Self-Harm Awareness Month 2023

Self-Harm Awareness Month 2023

What's up young humans!

March is Self-Harm Awareness Month, and We Are Finesse is calling for your attention to this critical issue. Did you know that approximately 17% of young humans worldwide have engaged in self-harm at some point in their lives? This is an alarming statistic that cannot be ignored.

Self-harm comes in many forms, and it's not just limited to cutting or burning. It can include overspending, overeating or under-eating, engaging in toxic relationships, and even having more casual sex than usual. It's crucial to recognize that self-harm is not the same as a suicide attempt. It's a coping mechanism for managing overwhelming emotions, and it can be a warning sign that someone is struggling and needs help.

We Are Finesse is here to offer support and resources for young humans struggling with self-harm. Our programs and services include online peer communities, peer-support groups, and educational resources. Our goal is to provide a safe and understanding community for those in need and break the stigma surrounding self-harm.

On Self-Harm Awareness Month, we want to encourage everyone to educate themselves about self-harm and show support for those struggling with it. By raising awareness and breaking the stigma, we can make a difference in the lives of young people affected by self-harm. It's time to come together and support each other, especially during these challenging times.

Join We Are Finesse in raising awareness and supporting those affected by self-harm this Self-Harm Awareness Month. Together, we can make a difference! Remember, self-harm is not a choice, and those struggling with it need our support and understanding. Let's come together as a community to break the silence and stigma surrounding self-harm and create a safer and more supportive environment for all.
